Our Team.

Ashley R. Hemingway, B.S., M.S., OTR/L
Owner and Clinical Director
Ashley is the Owner and Clinical Director of Cardinal Pediatric Therapy. She has experience treating children with a wide variety of needs in the public/private school system, various outpatient settings and inpatient hospital settings.

Ashley completed her Master of Science (M.S.) in Occupational Therapy (OT) at James Madison University and her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Sciences/Pre-Med at Virginia Tech. She is nationally-certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and is licensed and registered by the State of Virginia as an OT.

Kathy Mosier, B.A., A.A.S., COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Kathy is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She brings over 28 years of experience with children through homeschooling her 5 children, navigating Fairfax County Public School system working with school therapists to provide support for her child with an Individual Education Plan (IEP), and providing Early Intervention services as a COTA/L through Infant/Toddler Connection in Fairfax County for children and their families ages 0-3.
Kathy is a lifelong learner and continues to research evidence-based interventions for children with and without diagnoses including, but not limited to, Autism, ADHD, global developmental delays, fine and gross motor skills, emotional self-regulation, and sensory processing.
Kathy enjoys volunteering at a local therapeutic riding facility providing equine-assisted therapy and support to therapists/staff assisting individuals requiring OT/PT and therapeutic services who benefit from a horse’s movement to meet their therapy goals. Kathy also enjoys spending time with friends and family and is excited to welcome her first grandchild this December.
Kathy earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Psychology at the University of Nebraska and graduated Magna Cum Laude with an A.A.S. in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC).

Sujin Jeung, A.A.S., COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Sujin is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Prior to becoming a COTA, she spent 10 years teaching children music, piano and Korean language across various levels and settings. She enjoys educating children across a diverse range of levels and environments. Her academic journey also led her to the discovery of her passion for music, specifically the piano, which she pursued during her college years.
Sujin is a proud mother of two children, a son and a daughter. In her free time she enjoys going hiking and spending time with her family. She loves family trips to amusement parks, and they make at least 15 trips a year to different parks in the United States.

Sujin is nationally-certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and is licensed in the State of Virginia as a COTA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with an A.A.S. in Occupational Therapy Assistant from NVCC.

Julie Stender, B.A., A.A.S., COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Julie is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has over 5 years of experience in pediatrics and aging populations. Julie began her occupational therapy career working in a long-term care setting. Julie also spent many years as a fitness trainer and instructor. Prior to joining the team, Julie worked at an ABA clinic in Texas that provided OT, PT and SLP services.
Julie is nationally-certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and is licensed in the State of Virginia as a COTA. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a B.A. in Kinesiology/Fitness and Exercise Science in 1992 and graduated from Morgan Community College in Colorado with an A.A.S. in Occupational Therapy Assistant in 1995.
