Our Team.

Ashley R. Hemingway, B.S., M.S., OTR/L
Owner and Clinical Director
Ashley is the Owner and Clinical Director of Cardinal Pediatric Therapy. She has experience treating children with a wide variety of needs in the public/private school system, various outpatient settings and inpatient hospital settings.
​
Ashley completed her Master of Science (M.S.) in Occupational Therapy (OT) at James Madison University and her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Sciences/Pre-Med at Virginia Tech. She is nationally-certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and is licensed and registered by the State of Virginia as an OT.

Sujin Jeung, A.A.S., COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Sujin is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Prior to becoming a COTA, she spent 10 years teaching children music, piano and Korean language across various levels and settings. She enjoys educating children across a diverse range of levels and environments. Her academic journey also led her to the discovery of her passion for music, specifically the piano, which she pursued during her college years.
Sujin is a proud mother of two children, a son and a daughter. In her free time she enjoys going hiking and spending time with her family. She loves family trips to amusement parks, and they make at least 15 trips a year to different parks in the United States.

Sujin is nationally-certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and is licensed in the State of Virginia as a COTA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with an A.A.S. in Occupational Therapy Assistant from NVCC.

Carly Bussell, A.A.S., COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Carly is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Carly has 8 years of experience working with children to develop life skills. Prior to working at Cardinal Pediatric Therapy, she practiced OT for 2 years with the pediatric population.

Prior to Carly’s education on OT. When she was 15-21 years old she taught 1:1 swim lessons to children ages 2-15. She also worked as an instructor teaching swim skills to children ages 6-14 for an organization called Adapted Aquatics. (Adaptive Aquatics provides swim and water safety lessons to children with various medical diagnoses; Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, etc.) During her high school education she worked as a teachers assistant in the nearby middle school.

In Carly’s free time she enjoys crafting, writing poetry, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.

Carly is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine, and nationally-certified through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) in 2023. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with an A.A.S as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from NVCC.

Rosemary Soto, B.S., A.A.S., COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Rosemary is a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has experience teaching children of ages 1-10 at BeanTree Learning for over 5 years. She has also worked at INOVA Hospital as a clinical technician in the medical/surgical unit and oncology unit. She discovered her passion in occupational therapy while taking care of her grandmother and began to volunteer in different OT settings. She advanced her career path as an OT practitioner working with veterans and is now excited to be at Cardinal Pediatric Therapy.
Rosemary is passionate about seeing her patients/clients advance in their therapy sessions as they progress through their therapy goals.
Fun Fact: One of Rosemary’s favorite animals are capybaras because they are cute and friendly.
Rosemary is nationally-certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine.​ She earned her B.S. in Kinesiology at George Mason University then continued her education at NVCC and earned her A.A.S in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
